Turn an ImmuBiome tub around and read the ingredient list before the front. Ingredients run from most to least, and on most of our tubs the first lines are mushrooms, colostrum and probiotics. You won’t find molasses or added sugar in any of them.

A gut-first starting point
Most of our formulas are for something other than the gut: joints, breathing, focus or topline. They still start with the gut. Everything a horse eats has to be digested before it can do anything else, and the gut wall is lined with immune tissue. So nearly every formula shares a base of probiotics, prebiotics and colostrum, then adds the mushrooms suited to its job. The gut health page explains why the gut gets top billing.

The four main ingredients
- Mushrooms. Organic and full spectrum, meaning every stage of the mushroom’s life cycle goes in, not only the cap. See mushrooms for which species go in which tub.
- Bovine colostrum. Human-grade, collected within 16 hours of calving and gently processed. More on the colostrum page.
- Probiotics and prebiotics. 3 billion CFU in most formulas, fed by mushroom fiber. G-Tract and Immune add Saccharomyces yeast. See prebiotics and probiotics.
- Beta-glucans. Most formulas carry a 25% minimum of 1,3/1,6 beta-glucans. The beta-glucans page has the details.

What we leave out
No molasses and no added sugar. Most horses already get plenty from their regular feed, so we leave them out. That matters to owners of easy keepers and horses on low-sugar diets. Questions about how we make our formulas
What does human-grade mean for a horse supplement?
It means the ingredients meet the quality standards set for human food, not the lower bar for animal feed. We source to that standard because we’d want the same for our own horses.
Why use the whole mushroom instead of just an extract?
Different parts of the mushroom carry different compounds. Full-spectrum preparations keep that variety, and some formulas add concentrated extracts where more of one part makes sense. Super Concentrate, for example, uses extracts of three Reishi species.
Are ImmuBiome formulas sweetened?
No. There’s no molasses or added sugar in any of them. Most horses take them well mixed into damp feed.
Can I feed more than one ImmuBiome formula at once?
Yes, many owners do, for example G-Tract with Lean Muscle. If you’re combining several, give us a call or check with your vet so the plan makes sense as a whole.
